Senjogahara
Boasting a vast area of 400 hectares, this is one of Japan's largest wetlands. It is famous for its 350 species of native plants and the wide variety of wild birds, and there is also a hiking trail that can be completed in about two hours. The best time to visit is from mid-June to early August, when the cotton grass and Japanese quince are at their best, and from late September to early October, when the autumn foliage is at its most beautiful.

Ryuzu Falls
Ryuzuno waterfall
Ryuzu Falls is one of Nikko's most famous waterfalls, second only to Kegon Falls. It is said to have been named after the two waterfalls that split into two, and the way the water flows, which looks like a dragon's head. The scenery is particularly beautiful during the seasons of fresh greenery and autumn leaves, and it is also the earliest place in the Oku-Nikko area to see autumn leaves.

Nikko Futarasan Shrine
Nikko futarasan jinja chugu shrine
This shrine is located in a scenic spot on the northern shore of Lake Chuzenji, at the foot of Mount Nantai. It is called Chugushi because it is located halfway between the inner shrine of Futarasan Shrine at the summit of Mount Nantai and the main shrine of Futarasan in Nikko city. Chugushi was built in 784 (the 3rd year of the Enryaku era), and seven buildings on the grounds, including the main hall, have been designated as Important Cultural Properties, and the giant yew tree near the entrance to Mount Nantai is estimated to be over 1,000 years old.

Kegon Falls
Kegonno waterfall
This 97m-high waterfall is considered one of Japan's three most famous waterfalls. It is said to be the most famous waterfall in the Nikko area, which is home to so many waterfalls that it is said to have 48 waterfalls. The sight of the water from Lake Chuzenji plummeting down the cliffs in one go is magnificent, allowing you to enjoy both the grandeur and splendid beauty of nature. The waterfall basin can be seen up close from the observation deck, accessible by elevator, and is extremely impressive. You can see the spectacular sight of the water splashing and roaring.
